POSITION DESCRIPTION

• Assist with the preparation of implementation plans; participate in investigation and resolution of production problems; and address system/process failure with IT

• Assist with maintaining the continued integrity of existing production systems; maintain on-going dialogue with users and act as liaison between internal users and IT

• Ensure accuracy of reports based upon reporting parameters and log/resolve report variances

• Program enhancements in accordance with requirements and perform system testing to ensure compliance with test plans; provide assistance with the preparation of documented test plans to support the release of new software version updates as provided by the vendor(s) and in-house programmed changes

• Assist in training users; and presenting recommendations to improve the efficiency of operations by remaining abreast of new techniques and methodologies.

• Log issues with the IT department and follow up to ensure resolution

REQUIREMENTS

• Undergraduate degree and possession of (or working towards) a recognized accounting designation such as CGA/CMA

• Knowledge of PeopleSoft integrated system, specifically Finance modules, and ability to incorporate strong accounting knowledge to system functionality

• Experience in creating and maintaining automated internal controls and process maps and/or flowcharts

• Strong report writing skills including, but not limited to, nVision, SQR/SQL, PeopleSoft, COGNOS, queries

• Proven ability to work under pressure to meet timelines and deliverables while being responsive to user needs

• Strong problem solving skills with the ability to identify, assess and prioritize tasks and assignments

• Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills to foster internal/external client relationships
