POSITION DESCRIPTION |
-
Deliver financial plan as it relates to the loss ratio and loss adjustment expense and establish, monitor and enforce team metrics including performance & budget
-
Manage the claims operation to ensure regulatory compliance
-
Manage and develop resources to deliver a balance of solid customer service, quality claims handling and good financial results
-
Function as the key driver in communicating the regional plan

Improve overall employee satisfaction and engagement rating
-
Control claims leakage; Maintain loss development; Meet productivity targets and disposal rate
-
Achieve satisfactory FA audit ratings, and excellent customer satisfaction ratings
-
Direct vendor management and quality control for preferred legal counsel & independent adjusters
-
Identify claims training opportunities and coordinate technical training coupled with updating claims technical & procedural best practices

Serve as the complaint liaison officer, automobile, for the Province of Ontario

REQUIREMENTS |
-
Post-secondary education or equivalent experience or professional designation; and, CIP or FCIP designation completed/in progress

Ability to build cross-functional relationship skills to develop, maintain and influence relationships with Corporate Partners, internal and external business partners

Solid knowledge of claims handling and proficient with Ontario automobile product, specific focus on Accident Benefit claims
-
Minimum 7 – 10 years of progressive experience in the insurance industry, with significant experience in accident benefits
-
Experience in a leadership role either in or outside the insurance industry is an asset.

Familiarity with Fusion & HCAI systems

Experience with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Lotus Notes
