POSITION DESCRIPTION |
-
Direct and manage interactions with Independent Adjusters as
required.
-
Responsible for detailed investigation, negotiation and
resolution of bodily injury claims through direct contact
with claim parties (clients, claimants, legal
representatives, service suppliers).
-
Analyze medical, vocational and financial information in
order to determine eligibility for benefits based on
legislative criteria.

Establish and maintain accurate case reserves and ensure
payments are made in timely fashion.

Prepare file summary reports for review with Claim
Specialists.

Where applicable, participate in dispute resolution process.

Maintain and manage established follow up system.

REQUIREMENTS |
-
Post Secondary Education (University degree, Community
College Diploma) or
equivalent
experience in lieu.
-
CIP designation or actively pursuing the same.
-
Minimum of 3-5 years claims experience, with a strong focus
on bodily injury claims is required.

Knowledge of regulatory and contractual obligations for
liability, accident benefits and property is an asset.
-
Knowledge of medical and legal information and terminology.
-
Ability to take detailed signed Statements.
-
Competent using technological tools and common software
(i.e., MS Word, Excel, Lotus Notes).

An advanced level of English is required.
