POSITION DESCRIPTION

• Direct and manage interactions with Independent Adjusters as required.

• Responsible for detailed investigation, negotiation and resolution of bodily injury claims through direct contact with claim parties (clients, claimants, legal representatives, service suppliers).

• Analyze medical, vocational and financial information in order to determine eligibility for benefits based on legislative criteria.

• Establish and maintain accurate case reserves and ensure payments are made in timely fashion.

• Prepare file summary reports for review with Claim Specialists.

• Where applicable, participate in dispute resolution process.

• Maintain and manage established follow up system.

REQUIREMENTS

• Post Secondary Education (University degree, Community College Diploma) or equivalent experience in lieu. 

• CIP designation or actively pursuing the same.

• Minimum of 3-5 years claims experience, with a strong focus on bodily injury claims is required.

• Knowledge of regulatory and contractual obligations for liability, accident benefits and property is an asset.

• Knowledge of medical and legal information and terminology.

• Ability to take detailed signed Statements.

• Competent using technological tools and common software (i.e., MS Word, Excel, Lotus Notes).

• An advanced level of English is required.
