POSITION DESCRIPTION

  • Timely and accurate processing of multiple bi-weekly payrolls and monthly pension payroll across Canada while maintaining complete data integrity
  • Calculate and pay vacation pay, termination pay, taxable benefits and other ad hoc payments in accordance with government legislation
  • Create import files for payroll system and import information
  • Audit information input and interfaced from HHRP system
  • Troubleshoot system problems and identify solutions
  • Complete Records of Employment and answer HRSD enquiries
  • Respond to HR and Employee payroll enquiries on a timely basis
  • Assist with year-end process and mid-year tax form balancing
  • Continually work to improve processes
  • Support special projects as required

REQUIREMENTS

  • Demonstrated organizational skills with very high attention to detail
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding and constantly changing environment
  • Previously demonstrated initiative and able to work with minimal supervision
  • Service driven professional and an excellent communicator, both written and verbal
  • Ability to flourish in the midst of change

  • Confidence and courage to act with conviction
  • CPA Levels 1 & 2 and working toward PMCP (Payroll Management Certificate Program)
  • Minimum 3 – 4 years payroll experience
  • Minimum 2 years experience with ADP PCPW
  • Advanced MS Office computer skills (Excel and Word)
