POSITION DESCRIPTION |
- Work with team members to provide 2nd level incident support, including rotating pager support.
- Provide problem resolution of client-reported problems escalated from the 1st level support desk.
- Ensure that users are informed as to status and expected resolution times.
- Develop and implement root cause fixes to prevent recurring problems.
- Design, build, and implement maintenance fixes and enhancements to business software.
- Maintain close customer service links with business partners.
- Pro-actively look for opportunities to enhance the effectiveness of the team and services provided to our business partners.
- Other duties when assigned.

REQUIREMENTS |
- Several years experience with OS/390 TSO; and OS/390 JCL
- Good mainframe structured programming skills with preference given to PL/1
- Good working knowledge of IMS or DB2
- Problem solving and analytical skills required to trace problems from end to end
- The ability to carry forward tasks with minimal supervision
- Proficient English written and verbal skills
- Good documentation skills
- Good interpersonal skills
- The ability to collaborate and share ideas in a team environment
- The ability to organize and plan own work
- The ability to handle stress
- The ability to manage multiple tasks at the same time
- The ability to provide off-hours support on a rotating basis
- Time management, conflict resolution skills, and negotiation skills
- Knowledge and skills identified typically require a university degree or college diploma in computer studies or equivalent, minimum 5 years experience in IT with several in a computer services product support function.
