POSITION DESCRIPTION

The Account Manager will be responsible for the management and growth of a large customer base of insurance brokers with an aim to maximizing their ROI from using the online service and company revenue. In addition, the Account Manager will play an important role in working with other members of the team on key marketing, product development and sales initiatives, ensuring alignment with and consideration of customer needs.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Developing strong relationships with clients, responding to issues / concerns and providing instruction on how to maximize results from using the online service

  • Selling the service to prospective customers

  • Troubleshooting any identified rating / quoting issues and discrepancies - Identifying, developing and executing sales strategies and new products

  • Provide compelling, relevant and accurate content to be used in monthly e-newsletters sent to consumers and insurance brokers to drive website traffic and sales

  • Conducting media interviews and responding to media inquiries, and serving as a trusted source of information on insurance products and the insurance industry

  • Contributing content and ideas to website development, product development, and consumer and trade marketing efforts

REQUIREMENTS

  • Currently hold a RIBO license (or have within the past year) with a minimum of 4 years personal lines experience and a strong understanding of the broker distribution channel; CIP designation an asset

  • Superior customer service skills; highly professional and presentable

  • Ability to build and develop effective relationships with clients

  • Possesses good working knowledge of the Internet, web and online media

  • Demonstrated ability managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

  • Detail oriented with strong organizational and time management skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Demonstrated initiative, drive and teamwork skills

  • Proficient with MS Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint

  • University or College Degree, preferably in a business-related discipline

  • Bilingualism an asset
