POSITION DESCRIPTION

  • The incumbent directly generates revenue by selling Underwriting and Claims products and services to new and current users within an assigned territory through direct, face-to-face contact.

  • Job typically requires high levels of travel.

  • Assists management in devising sales plans and strategies.

  • Reports to Vice President, Canadian Business.

  • Sells products/services to new and/or current customers in an assigned geographic area to achieve or exceed assigned revenue objectives:

    • Contacts and visits prospective customers to determine product/services needs and performs sales presentations to match company’s products with identified needs.

    • Sells products through face-to-face contact.

    • Remains knowledgeable of MS/B’s products to facilitate sales efforts.

    • Maintains sales records and prepares sales reports as required.

    • Provides follow-up with customers to ensure customer satisfaction with products and/or services provided.

    • May assist sales and sales support representatives as needed.

    • Regular and predictable attendance and punctuality are essential functions of this position.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent training in business or sales management or a minimum three years in business or sales management.

  • Three to five years experience in the Canadian property and casualty insurance industry an asset.

  • Fluency in French an asset.

  • Miller Heiman or similar sales training, experience in selling $1 million plus solutions.

  • Complex sales experience and a track history of attaining multi-million dollar annual sales quotas.

  • Excellent knowledge of MS/B’s products and services.

  • Effective communications and interpersonal skills.

  • Professional appearance and presentation required.
