POSITION DESCRIPTION

Our client, a medium sized Health Care provider, is dedicated to providing quality medical services to its clients across Canada including reliable Independent Medical Evaluations, Ergonomic Services, Short Term Disability Management, Diagnostic Imaging and Support Services.

The company is located in the Toronto area and is looking for a licensed Physician to assist the Medical Director in ensuring an excellent quality product service is provided to all customers and internal departments.

This individual will work closely within the Quality Control cycle and as a resource to the various internal departments involved in the generation of the company's reports.

The MCO will work to ensure that best practices are in place to ensure all files are properly documented in accordance with the highest medical standards.

REQUIREMENTS

  • MD in any discipline of medicine or General Practice, and knowledgeable in regulatory legislation's

  • Minimum of 5 years experience involved with filings of reports to insurance companies and regulatory bodies, or equivalents.

  •   Knowledge of Health Canada, Provincial Legislations and Insurance Companies requirements

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal are required

  • Good analytical, diagnostic and problem-solving and report writing skills

  • With strong time management skills, work with internal and external customers to solve problems in a timely manner in order to provide reliable, compliant systems

  •  The ability to work and cooperate with others to accomplish group, and corporate goals and objectives

  • The ability to manage several projects at once while setting specific goals & timelines for completion

  •  Proficient computer and data tracking skills

  •  Implementing written policies, procedures, and standards of conduct

  • Developing effective lines of communication with the various assessors
