POSITION DESCRIPTION

  • Develop and Implement  business plan and strategies for the division

  • Build productive business relationships with brokers and risk managers and clients throughout the Region

  • Assist in production of new business, new products and new producer sources

  • Maintain underwriting discipline, while achieving GWP/NWP targets for the division

  • Secure appropriate ratings on audits and participate in quarterly audits for the branch

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • College/University or equivalent industry experience

  • Minimum 7 years casualty underwriting experience at a senior level preferably with some experience in Workers Compensation programs

  • Individual should be results oriented and accountable for those results

  • Excellent organizational, time management, presentation, communication and negotiation skills

  • A multi-tasker who is detail oriented with strong problem solving capabilities and able to work effectively in a fast paced environment

  • Ability to manage team work load effectively and be able to coach and mentor team members

  • Experience in Supervising or management a definite asset.

  • Proficient with Windows, Outlook, MSWord, PowerPoint and Excel
