POSITION DESCRIPTION

• Produce and underwrite new and renewal Property / Casualty business  and expand Corporate Property Clients Liability on a profitable basis.

• Maintaining in-force policies and ensuring all policies are issued with the appropriate wordings, schedules, and certificates attached

• Recording underwriting information for the purpose of evaluation, assessment, and profitability and retention;

• Work with other Corporate Strategic Business Units to leverage multi-line business

• Assisting with training and coaching of other staff as required;

• Marketing company insurance products to Brokers through state-of-the-art presentations and proposals;

• Fostering good broker relationships by Broker visits to promote products and expand relationships;
  
   

REQUIREMENTS

• Strong underwriting background with an understanding of Property products.

• Strong product knowledge, and the ability to make sound underwriting decisions while managing large, complicated accounts.

• Possess strong oral and written communication skills and superior time management and organizational skills.

• Highly motivated, creative self-starter with strong analytical and marketing skills

• Understanding of financial statements and transactions an asset

• Professional, friendly, and courteous in all interactions with external and internal customers.

• Computer literacy with working knowledge of Microsoft Office 2000 and Spreadsheets.

• 5 – 10 years relevant experience

• University degree preferred
