POSITION DESCRIPTION

• Assess and evaluate new and existing business on Energy Risks located in Canada, USA and International
• Set terms and conditions and establish premium to produce sustainable profit for assigned accounts
• Review and process changes on existing accounts to maintain compliance with policy conditions and underwriting philosophy
• Resolve accounting problems related to underwriting business,evaluate client claims, inspection, loss control and financial data
• Develops policy wordings, coverages, deductibles, self insured retention limits to meet national and international legislative requirements with clients, brokers and reinsurers changes to insured to improve profitability
• Assists in development of marketing strategies for new or improved product lines
• Maintain broker relationships and provides customer service
• Works with other divisions in establish complete and competitive coverage for our clients
• Maintain awareness of market trends/conditions with respect to pricing and legal issues

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum 8 to 10 years experience handling complex property accounts

• Experience managing a large and diverse book of property business from multiple brokers

• Strong knowledge of property insurance a must

• College/University degree OR equivalent industry education and experience

• Excellent organizational, interpersonal skills

• Ability to manage work load effectively, especially during times of high activity and tight time lines

• Ability to work independently to meet deadlines following company guidelines as well as in team oriented approach to accomplish goals

• The candidate should be results oriented and accountable for those results

• Confident knowledge of systems and PC applications, especially utilizing spreadsheets
