POSITION DESCRIPTION

  1. PRIMARY DUTIES:
     - Analyze and assess the property/casualty portion of risks.
    -  Analyze and assess property/casualty risks to accept or reject. Provide coverage's that meet the customers needs and achieve account profitability.
    - Negotiate terms and conditions and calculate the premiums appropriate to the risk.
    - Review and negotiate renewals and midterm changes as required.
     - Analyze data including Loss Control Reports and Claims activity information.
  2. SECONDARY DUTIES:
     - Collaborate with auto/fleet underwriter to analyze and assess risks to accept, reject or modify accounts.
    - Assist in the resolution of account differences.
    - Meet with customers and business partners to promote and develop relationships.
    - As outlined in the Job Profile and miscellaneous duties that may be assigned.
    - Assist as technical product knowledge resource.
    - May provide peer training or mentoring.

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • EXPERIENCE/REQUIREMENTS:
    The successful candidate will have a minimum of five year's experience in the handling of larger risks ($100,000 +). Highly developed analytical, negotiation and communication skills are required, as is a commitment to providing exceptional customer service by maintaining our customer service value. Working with large brokerage firms would be an asset. Experience in specialty lines including D&O, EPL, Crime and K&R etc are preferred.
  • EDUCATION:
    The minimum education requirement for this position is a High School Diploma or equivalent work related experience. An AIIC or CIP designation or active participation in the program is preferred.
