POSITION DESCRIPTION

• Establish pricing for Canadian, U.S. and International accounts and review quotations to ensure completeness in operations and premium levels.

• Assess large complex risks to determine if they should be accepted or declined and negotiate terms, conditions, services and prices for new and renewal risks with brokers

• Review and process changes on existing accounts to maintain compliance with policy conditions and underwriting and accounting requirements.

• Evaluate client claims, inspection, loss control and financial data

• Develops policy wordings, coverages, deductibles, self insured retention limits to meet national and international legislative requirements with clients, brokers and reinsurers

• Recommends changes to insured to improve profitability including reinsurance arrangements as required

• Assists in development of marketing strategies for new or improved product lines

• Maintain broker relationships and provides customer service

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum 8 to 10 years experience handling complex property accounts

• Experience managing a large and diverse book of property business from multiple brokers

• College/University degree OR equivalent industry education and experience

• Ability to manage work load effectively, especially during times of high activity and tight time lines

• Ability to work independently to meet deadlines following company guidelines as well as in a team oriented approach to accomplish goals

• Proficient in computer systems and PC applications, especially utilizing spreadsheets
